The 26th China International Industry Fair Opens

The 26th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) opened on December 12th at the National Convention Center (Shanghai). Themed “Intelligent Economy, Borderless Manufacturing,” this year’s fair focuses on next-generation intelligent manufacturing, showcasing the latest achievements in the intelligent, green, and integrated development of the manufacturing industry, and building an important platform for global industrial cooperation, technology exchange, and resource sharing.

The opening ceremony featured the release of several significant achievements and the launch of several major initiatives. Six Chinese and foreign institutions jointly released the “International City-to-City Industrial Chain and Supply Chain Open Cooperation Initiative,” advocating that global cities work together to maintain the stability and smooth operation of industrial and supply chains. The initiative aims to deepen practical cooperation in six areas: openness and interconnectivity, security collaboration, innovation linkage, digital transformation, cluster co-construction, and empowering SMEs, thereby contributing to the coordinated development of global industries. Shanghai released its 2026 industrial map, simultaneously announcing a list of 30 city-district collaborative industrial clusters with a scale of over 100 billion yuan, and launching a next-generation intelligent manufacturing development action plan. The plan aims to achieve full coverage of intelligent factories for key manufacturing enterprises by 2028, cultivate 500 advanced intelligent factories, implement over 2,000 artificial intelligence manufacturing application scenarios, and continuously expand the scale of the intelligent manufacturing industry.

The expo lasted for five days, with a total exhibition area of ​​310,000 square meters. It featured national pavilions and ten themed exhibitions, including a dedicated integrated circuit exhibition for the first time. More than 3,200 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions participated, along with over 100 industry forums, new product launches, and supply and demand matchmaking events.
