Smart modules enable intelligent sorting and conveying, helping to improve the efficiency and quality of logistics packaging

With the rapid development of e-commerce logistics, express sorting, and product packaging, intelligent, efficient, and heavy-duty capabilities have become the core focus of production line upgrades. Thanks to their heavy-duty wear resistance, flexible turning, stackable design, and ease of maintenance, modular belts have completely replaced traditional conveyor belts, becoming essential equipment components in packaging and sorting, warehousing and transshipment, and cargo merging and diverging applications.
Currently, the adoption rate of automation in China’s logistics and packaging industry continues to rise, with high-volume, fast-paced, and high-frequency cargo conveyance and sorting becoming the norm in production. Traditional conveying equipment suffers from limitations such as restricted load capacity, stiff turns, tendency to drift off course, and high maintenance costs, making it unsuitable for the demands of modern intelligent logistics sorting production lines. Modular plastic conveyor belts, with their flexible structure, strong adaptability, and long service life, are widely used in various cargo conveying scenarios, including cartons, bagged goods, returnable crates, and pallets.
In the back-end processes of packaging production, modular belts are primarily used for finished product conveyance, buffering and accumulation, and palletizing and transfer. They offer high stability, anti-skid properties, and wear resistance, and can handle inclines of up to 15°, effectively addressing issues such as cargo slippage and dropping. In e-commerce smart sorting lines, roller-top modular belts enable frictionless accumulation, lateral diversion, and merging of goods. When paired with intelligent scanning equipment, they facilitate high-speed, precise sorting, significantly improving sorting efficiency and reducing product damage rates. In heavy-duty logistics applications, heavy-duty modular belts with wide pitch can handle heavy cartons, warehouse pallets, and large storage bins. They offer high impact resistance and tensile strength, making them suitable for 24-hour continuous operation.

Materials and Advantages:
1. PP (Polypropylene): A versatile material for light- to medium-duty applications. It offers resistance to aging and wear, excellent cost-effectiveness, and is suitable for the routine conveyance of standard packaged goods;
2. POM (Polyoxymethylene): Features low friction and dimensional stability, making it ideal for high-speed sorting, accumulation and buffering, and high-frequency start-stop operations, ensuring sorting accuracy and efficiency;
3. Reinforced PP/PA Nylon: A high-strength, heavy-duty material that is impact-resistant and fatigue-resistant, specifically designed for pallets, uphill conveyance of heavy cargo, and heavy-load transfer scenarios;
4. Anti-static Modified Materials: Effectively prevent static buildup, suitable for conveying high-value goods and precision-packaged items, preventing static damage to goods.
According to industry statistics, the penetration rate of modular belts in the smart logistics sorting sector has been rising year by year, making them a core, essential component for smart warehousing and automated packaging lines. In the future, modular belts will evolve toward lighter weight, greater flexibility, greater intelligence, and maintenance-free operation, aligning closely with the trends toward unmanned and automated logistics. They will continue to help the logistics and packaging industry reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance quality.
