It is different from ribbed slat chain. It has smooth flat surface, gentle contact with product. It is easy to fully clean, no dead corners for residue buildup. And it enables to stable horizontal conveying, ideal for precise positioning. Suitable for high sanitary requirements.
It is typically applied in these positions. Food packaging, beverage filling line, box carton transfer, horizontal sorting of finished products.
All in all, if your conveyor has climbing / inclined sections, items are round, rubbery or easy to slip, need to drain liquid or filter debris during transport, please choose the ribbed slat chain. If your conveyor just used in horizontal conveying, products require clean, scratch-free contact surface, and strict sanitation standards and frequent washing are required, please choose the flat slat chain.
