PP for Ball Turning Slat Chain
PP material stands out mainly for outstanding chemical resistance property.
Advantages of PP
1.Superior acid & alkali resistance: Tolerates frequent flushing with acidic, alkaline sanitizers and cleaning agents. Perfect for lines that require daily intensive chemical wash-down.
2.Light weight and good toughness: Good impact resistance. Food-grade PP also passes FDA food contact standard.
Limitations of PP
PP has poorer wear resistance and rigidity compared with POM. Under long-term high-speed running, chain plates and surface balls will wear faster. Permanent deformation may happen under heavy continuous load.
Best-fit scenarios for PP ball turning slat chain:
Food processing lines with frequent chemical CIP cleaning, heavy sanitizing cycles; lower-speed conveying, not recommended for long-time high-speed 24-hour operation.
